About Me.....?
My name is Gloria Agbajor. I'm a sixth form student undertaking my third year at college, studying English Literature/Language A2 Level. I've studied Graphics Design A-level, Fashion & Textiles A-level, Media Studies A-level and English Literature/language AS level.
I'm from Nigeria and was born in London, I have various interests I love fashion, I sometimes see it as art rather than clothing. I enjoy music (I don't have a specific genre, if I like how it sounds, i'll pretty much download it!) I enjoy reading (currently enjoying a classic 'Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre', shopping (My favorite shop is H&M) and my favorite fashion designers are Vivienne Westwood and Alice + Olivia. I enjoy watching TV ( I'm obsessed with American Drama's; Desperate Housewives, Gilmore Girls. You name it!)
I mostly influence what I wear from TV actresses and what their characters wear on set . For example Kat Dennings (2 Broke Girls), Krysten Ritter (Dont Trust The B**** In Apartment 23) they share a care free personality which is shown through their style of costumes. I know its unusual, as their characters are obviously not real, but if we can be inspired by what celebrities wear in real life, what is stopping us from gaining inspiration from their roles on screen.

Art Work/Personal Stuff
These are my pieces that I produced either at college or in my free time.
This is a mini-magazine I made at a short course during the summer at "London College Of Fashion". I enjoyed the course and learnt about fashion journalism and how to go by it. If anyone visualizes themselves doing fashion journalism in their future I solely recommend "London College Of Fashion", you will definitely benefit from their courses whether it be journalism or any other areas in fashion.
This was a semi-final piece that I made for my Graphics Design course, my theme was shock advertising mixed with feminism, which is why Desperate Housewives was an appropriate visual for this piece. it's an TV poster advertisement, to obviously encourage people to watch Desperate Housewives. This links to shock adverting because of Susan holding the red apple which links to the story of Adam & Eve and it links to feminism because of the TV show and how they portray women as the stronger sex.
I also made this piece in Graphics Design, the theme here is mental disability and how mentally disabled people are seen as vulnerable and weak, however I also explore how their unique talents such as Detailed memory or advanced mathematical skills make up for what they lack from an average human being. They are poster's informing parents that if they're child feels isolated or even bullied/abused at school/playgroups that they should talk to someone or contact children's charities like the ones mentioned on the posters.
I made this in my Fashion and Textiles course, its a monoprint that was manipulated on Photoshop, in order to create a new print. The Blue one is my Fave and is also the design for the header of this website! The pattern was influenced by animal camouflage of a fish, if it wasn't for my drawing, you wouldn't be able to see it!
Again, Fashion and Textiles, its to do with camouflage similar to the animal print above , however these are associated with camouflage in fashion.
